Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

Can I return my paint by numbers kit?

Unfortunately we don’t offer a change of mind returns as we can’t repurpose your kit once it’s been painted! We always hope your kit arrives in the same condition we lovingly packaged it in so if something doesn’t seem right then please get in touch with us at selfstudiodesigns@gmail.com

How do I change or cancel my order?

Get in touch with us at selfstudiodesigns@gmail.com as soon as possible to ensure we can action this before it is sent out. If your order has already been dispatched, we will be unable to intercept it.

My item is damaged or faulty, what do I do?

Unfortunately, accidents can happen and we do our best to ensure each item finds itself to you in perfect condition. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please email us at selfstudiodesigns@gmail.com so we can work out the best solution for you.

Shipping

Do you offer express shipping?

We currently don’t offer express shipping but this is something we're hoping to offer in the future!

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, at this time we do not ship internationally. Our designs can only be enjoyed Australia-wide but we hope to one day expand into overseas markets.

When will my paint by numbers kit arrive?

We are a small business so orders are personally packed with love and care, then shipped with an individual tracking number within 1-2 business days of being placed. The rest is up to the courier gods!

Painting

How do I clean my brushes?

Simply blot any excess paint from your brush on a paper towel and rinse thoroughly with warm water, repeating if necessary. Use your fingers to reshape the brush and lay them flat to dry in the sunshine!

What do I do if my paint dries out?

Just like our skin, paint sometimes need a little hydrating too! Restore dry or lumpy acrylic paint by adding a drop or two of warm water and gently stirring until you have reached the consistency you’re after.

Should I frame my design before or after I paint?

This is entirely up to you but we recommend framing your design after you’ve painted it. It’s easier to paint if you can lean on the canvas, plus you can roll it up and store it when you have the girls over for wine and cheese!
